CPCWHS1001 – Prepare to work safely in the construction industry.

Live online training with a trainer via Zoom. You must be physically located in Tasmania.

We issue your certificate after successful completion. You then must apply for the physical White Card through WorkSafe TAS.

4 to 6 hours. The final course duration and delivery arrangements will be confirmed before enrolments open. Allow time for learning, practical activities and assessment.

Online self-paced training. Attend the complete session and complete the assessment.

Aged 14 or older and you must be physically located in Tasmania during the session. You must also meet the ID, English and equipment requirements. Contact NOC before booking for a younger learner or if you are unsure about eligibility.

Get 1 form of photo ID ready with you on training day.

Have your Unique Student Identifier ready and make sure your enrolment details match your ID. Create or find your USI.

Use a laptop or desktop with reliable internet, a working camera and microphone. Have your own hard hat, safety glasses, hearing protection and high-visibility vest ready for practical assessment.

After successful completion, you receive your Statement of Attainment, which can be used for 60 days. You must then apply for your White Card t Service Tasmania with your Statement of Attainment, application form and identity documents, and pay the application fee.

You need to read and understand the learning material, follow instructions and communicate clearly during assessment. Contact NOC before enrolling if you need English, learning or accessibility support.

A White Card is evidence of general construction induction training. It introduces basic work health and safety knowledge needed before working on construction sites.

The course covers CPCWHS1001 – Prepare to work safely in the construction industry. You must successfully complete training and assessment to receive your Statement of Attainment.

People working in construction need general construction induction training. This can include apprentices, labourers, tradespeople and supervisors, depending on their duties.

The White Card is general induction. Your employer must still provide the site-specific information, instruction and supervision required for your work.

Confirm eligibility, age and location requirements with NOC before enrolling. A Tasmanian White Card application requires evidence of successful training in Tasmania.

Prepare the identification required for training and your Service Tasmania application. Check the official application form for acceptable documents before lodging.

Online White Card training is planned. The delivery method, access arrangements and assessment requirements will be confirmed before enrolments open.

Final computer, internet and PPE requirements will be confirmed before enrolment. Training includes practical assessment, so check the equipment list before starting.

After successful training, apply for your White Card at Service Tasmania with your Statement of Attainment, application form and identity documents, and pay the application fee. Apply within 60 days of training; later applications need additional confirmation from your RTO.

Make sure your name and contact details are correct. Keep the RTO’s details and your Statement of Attainment in case you need a replacement card.

A valid Australian general construction induction card is generally recognised across states and territories. You still need the employer’s site induction and any job-specific training.

Check the TAS construction induction guidance if you hold an older card. If you haven’t been working in construction for 2 consecutive years, you will have to join an online White Card course in Tasmania again.

Training covers common hazards, safe work practices, safety signs, emergency procedures and PPE. You must demonstrate the required knowledge and practical skills.
