Learn how to identify common construction hazards, understand your safety responsibilities and respond to workplace incidents. Training covers risk controls, safety signs, communication and the correct use of personal protective equipment (PPE). You will take part in activities and complete assessments with your trainer. 

A valid White Card is recognised across Australia. However, recognition of the card and eligibility to complete a particular online course are different things.

Choose the course for the state where you will be located during training, and check its delivery and identification requirements. If you have been away from construction work for two years or more, contact the relevant state regulator about whether you need to retrain.

In NSW and QLD, our online White Card courses take place in a live virtual classroom with a trainer. You join at a scheduled time, ask questions, take part in the activities and complete the required assessments.

This is not a self-paced course. You need a suitable computer, working camera and microphone, a stable internet connection and the PPE listed on your state course page. Allow time to check your equipment before the session.

In Tasmania, this is a self-paced course. You work through the training online in your own time and complete the assessment when you’re ready, there’s no live trainer or set session to join.

Check your state’s age and location requirements, prepare the required identification and have your Unique Student Identifier (USI) ready. Your enrolment details should match your identification. You can create or find your USI through the official USI service.

Arrange your computer, internet connection and required PPE in advance. You need enough English to follow instructions, discuss safety issues and complete the assessments. Contact us before booking if you need learning support.

After successful completion, your training documents are issued and your White Card is processed under the arrangements for the state where you trained. The documents you receive and the process for delivering your physical card differ by state.
